The Egyptian Hockey League (EHL) is the official organized ice hockey league in Egypt, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Cairo, running competitive seasons, player development programmes, and community outreach to grow the sport nationwide. We're looking for a Player Development Coordinator to help build out the pathways that bring new players into the game and support their growth from first-time skaters through to competitive club play.
What you'll do
- Coordinate learn-to-skate camps, junior programmes, and school outreach initiatives
- Support player pathway planning from entry-level participation through to club and league competition
- Work with clubs and coaches to track player progress and development milestones
- Help manage the equipment lending library to ensure new participants can access gear
- Liaise with coaches on certification tracks and development standards
- Assist in organizing tryouts, evaluations, and development camps across clubs
What we're looking for
- Experience in youth or amateur sports coaching, program coordination, or athlete development
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple programmes at once
- Comfort working with coaches, clubs, and volunteers across different skill levels
- Clear communication skills, both written and in-person
- Ability to travel between rinks and clubs (e.g., Cairo and Alexandria) as needed
Nice to have
- Background in ice hockey specifically, as a player, coach, or administrator
- Familiarity with IIHF coaching or officiating certification standards
- Experience running learn-to-skate or beginner sports programmes
