The Egyptian Hockey League (EHL) is looking for a detail-oriented Statistician / Data Entry Clerk to support the league's game-day and season-long statistics operation. This role is essential to keeping standings, boxscores, and player statistics accurate and up to date across the league's five clubs and full season schedule.
What you'll do
- Enter and verify game data (goals, assists, penalties, saves, and other statistical categories) during and after games
- Maintain accurate boxscores and ensure results are reflected correctly in standings and stats pages
- Cross-check data entry against official game sheets and officials' reports for accuracy
- Update player and team statistical records on a per-game and season-to-date basis
- Assist with compiling season summaries, tournament records, and draft-related statistics
- Respond promptly to data discrepancies and correct errors in a timely manner
What we're looking for
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with numerical data
- Comfort working with spreadsheets and/or data entry software under time pressure
- Ability to work game-day hours, including evenings or weekends as the schedule requires
- Basic understanding of ice hockey rules and statistical categories, or willingness to learn quickly
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet tight turnaround times for post-game reporting
Nice to have
- Prior experience with sports statistics, scorekeeping, or data entry in an athletic or league setting
- Familiarity with 3-on-3 hockey formats or non-traditional hockey rule sets
- Experience using online stats platforms or content management systems
