The Egyptian Hockey League (EHL) is the official organized ice hockey league in Egypt, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Cairo. The league runs competitive seasons, player development programmes, and community outreach to grow the sport across the country. We're looking for a Video Editor to help bring game action, recaps, and league stories to life for fans across Egypt and beyond.
What you'll do
- Edit game footage into highlight reels, recaps, and boxscore-style social clips for league distribution
- Cut promotional and announcement videos for league news, tournaments, and club features
- Organize and maintain a library of raw footage, graphics, and finished assets
- Add graphics, lower-thirds, scores, and branding elements consistent with league style
- Collaborate with the news and content team to turn match results and storylines into video content
- Deliver edited videos on tight turnarounds around game-week schedules
What we're looking for
- Proven experience editing video for sports, news, or social media content
- Strong command of editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Comfort working with fast turnaround times tied to live game schedules
- Solid eye for pacing, storytelling, and highlight selection in sports footage
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple video projects at once
- Basic motion graphics or titling skills
Nice to have
- Experience covering ice hockey or other fast-paced live sports
- Familiarity with editing for social platforms (short-form vertical content, highlight clips)
- Interest in or knowledge of hockey and its growth in the Middle East
