Job descriptionReq 8171219

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic’s complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI.

What is The Role

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager, Pricing and Packaging to join the Product Finance team. This role will partner closely with the Product organization to bring new offerings to market. You'll work across functions and levels of leadership to make a real impact on how Elastic brings products to market.

What You Will Be Doing

As Elastic expands into increasingly complex offerings, the path from idea to launched monetized product requires heavy cross-functional coordination. You’ll be a key strategic partner to our Product organization, owning the operational end-to-end of Pricing and Packaging.

  • Cross Functional Influence: Drive alignment across the stakeholders required to launch a pricing or packaging change, including FP&A, Revenue, Legal, IT, and Billing. Hold stakeholders accountable to timelines and decisions, translate priorities and requirements across functions, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks between product intent and commercial execution.
  • Pricing and Packaging Knowledge: Demonstrate a proficient working knowledge of SaaS pricing models, packaging structures, and monetization levers, including consumption-based and usage-based models. Understand how decisions around tiering, bundling, metering, and discounting flow through the business from product design to revenue recognition.
  • Process Architecture: Map and document the existing launch process to create a repeatable, scalable playbook. Make recommendations for process improvements that reduce time-to-market and improve coordination as Elastic's product portfolio grows in complexity. Process rigor here directly protects revenue by keeping launches on schedule and monetization logic intact.
  • Accountability and Follow-Through: Maintain a clear, real-time view of open items, owners, dependencies, and approvals across every active launch. Develop and enforce rigorous processes for tracking progress and following up on action items. Identify friction points before they become blockers, and escalate accordingly.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of program or project management experience in the product organization of a SaaS or technology company with a track record of managing complex, cross-functional external product releases from start to finish. Experience working at the intersection of Product, Finance, Legal, and Systems teams is strongly preferred.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences, including technical, business, and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a genuine curiosity about Elastic's products, helping them ask the right questions and advocate for the right process changes.

What applying to Elastic usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through greenhouse can typically expect an online application requiring a resume and possibly responses to screening questions, followed by an automated confirmation email. For Elastic, the process may include multiple stages, commonly beginning with a recruiter phone screen, then progressing to hiring manager conversations and role-specific interviews such as technical exercises, case studies, or panel discussions depending on the position. Given the wide range of open roles, from engineering to sales and legal, the structure of interviews likely varies by department and seniority. Communication is generally handled through the Greenhouse platform, which may send automated status updates. Response times vary and are not guaranteed, so candidates are commonly advised to follow up politely if they have not heard back within a reasonable period after applying or interviewing.
