Elite Hockey HQ builds performance training software for hockey players, including nutrition and game-day fueling guidance as part of its athlete platform. We're looking for a Sports Dietitian to help shape the nutrition content and guidance our athletes rely on to train and compete at a high level.
What you'll do
- Develop and review evidence-based nutrition guidance and fueling strategies tailored to hockey players across different positions and competition levels
- Create content and resources covering game-day nutrition, meal planning, hydration, and recovery fueling
- Collaborate with the product and training teams to integrate nutrition guidance into the training platform and athlete plans
- Translate nutrition science into practical, athlete-friendly recommendations and educational materials
- Review and validate nutrition-related features, such as meal-photo macro tracking, for accuracy
- Stay current on sports nutrition research relevant to hockey performance, recovery, and body composition
What we're looking for
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential, or equivalent registration in your country
- Experience working with athletes, ideally in hockey or another high-intensity team sport
- Strong understanding of periodized fueling across training, competition, and recovery phases
- Ability to communicate complex nutrition concepts clearly to athletes, coaches, and a general audience
- Comfort creating written and/or video content for a digital platform
- Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional product and training teams
Nice to have
- Experience working with youth, junior, or elite-level hockey players or organizations
- Background in creating nutrition content for digital or app-based platforms
- Familiarity with wearable readiness data (HRV, sleep, recovery metrics) and how it intersects with fueling strategy
