About Faire

Faire is a technology wholesale platform built on the belief that the future is local. Independent retailers around the globe collectively represent a multi-hundred-billion-dollar wholesale market that has historically been fragmented and offline. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so businesses can grow and local communities can thrive.

We’re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.

About the role

Our mission in the Brand pillar is to make it easy for Brands to create high-quality product listings on Faire, keep them up to date, and get them in front of retailers. • You want to use technology to help your local independent retailers and brands succeed
  • You want to experiment with the best AI productivity tools on the market to help accelerate customer impact

What you'll do

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and marketing to contribute significantly to the success of the business or the engineering platform
  • Identify and capitalize on new opportunities, overseeing complex multi-phase projects across multiple teams and platforms from concept to implementation
  • Build features across multiple stacks, potentially including Backend, Frontend, and Mobile
  • Optimize web applications for peak performance and scalability, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, fast, and scalable code
  • Mentor fellow engineers on both technical and product judgement

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proficient in at least one of Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
  • Comfortable in agentic coding tools
  • Familiar with HTML, CSS, Typescript, and frameworks/libraries like React, Next.js, etc.
  • Experience driving product improvements end to end, including deciding what problems are worth solving and how to solve them
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • A love for technology, and an insatiable curiosity for new tools to solve real problems

What applying to Faire usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through greenhouse for roles at Faire can generally expect an application process consistent with common Greenhouse-based hiring workflows. This typically starts with an online application and resume screening, followed by a recruiter phone screen to discuss background and role fit. The process may include multiple stages such as hiring manager conversations, technical or role-specific assessments, and panel interviews with team members, particularly for engineering, data, and product-oriented positions. Take-home exercises or case studies are sometimes used depending on the role. Communication is often handled through automated updates within the Greenhouse platform, though response times vary by team and stage. Candidates should typically prepare to discuss relevant experience, technical skills, and behavioral examples, as these are commonly emphasized across the various stages of evaluation.”
