The Role
Legend is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Fast Response team, helping ensure our products remain reliable, stable and responsive for millions of customers. You'll play a critical role in resolving complex production issues, improving engineering processes and helping teams deliver high-quality customer experiences with confidence.
Your Impact:
- Own the rapid diagnosis and resolution of production issues across our Gaming products, helping deliver a reliable experience for millions of customers.
- Investigate, prioritise and resolve complex bugs, reducing customer impact while improving platform stability and performance.
- Build and improve triage processes that enable the team to respond to incidents quickly, consistently and effectively.
- Work across multiple engineering teams to identify root causes, implement permanent fixes and prevent recurring issues.
- Lead by example through hands-on engineering, sharing knowledge and mentoring teammates to continually improve the team's technical capability.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience developing and supporting large-scale, customer-facing web applications.
- Strong PHP development experience alongside modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving production issues, debugging complex systems and working across multiple services.
- A structured approach to incident management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Ability to balance speed with quality, making sound technical decisions in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
- Experience working with legacy systems and navigating technical complexity while maintaining platform stability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with confidence working across engineering teams to solve challenging problems.
- Experience in an operational engineering, platform support or fast-response engineering team.
- Knowledge of monitoring, observability and incident management tooling.
- Experience with AWS or cloud-native infrastructure.
