Salary from €6,000 per month
The role:
Build the systems behind Legend’s next chapter.
Take a leading role in evolving the backend platforms that power websites across Legend’s global portfolio. These systems hold the source of truth for our brands, partners and commercial information, connecting business-critical data with the experiences our players use.
The challenge spans multiple domains, shared APIs and multi-tenant platforms. Your decisions will shape how information flows, how services scale and how confidently teams can build on them.
You’ll stay hands-on while influencing architecture, technical roadmaps and engineering standards across teams. Big technical challenges. Visible business impact. Room to make your mark.
Your Impact:
- Shape the architecture. Define clear domains, service boundaries and APIs that keep complex systems reliable, maintainable and ready to grow.
- Turn ambition into delivery. Partner with Product and business stakeholders to build technical roadmaps that balance immediate priorities with long-term capability.
- Build it. Own it. Improve it. Write production code and take features from design through deployment, performance and ongoing operation.
- Raise the engineering bar. Mentor engineers, challenge assumptions and help teams make better technical decisions.
- Connect the dots. Make complex trade-offs clear and bring people together around a practical direction.
What You'll Bring:
- A track record of building and operating complex backend services, with ownership of architecture, integrations and production performance.
- Strong backend engineering skills, in Node.js and TypeScript. Deep expertise in another backend language is also welcome.
- Practical experience with Domain-Driven Design, API-first development and multi-tenant systems, backed by sound engineering judgement.
- The ability to turn business needs into technical decisions—and explain the trade-offs to engineers and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience influencing beyond your own work: mentoring others, shaping roadmaps and improving how teams build and deliver.
Bonus points: AWS architecture or practical experience building with LLMs.
