Job description

Mayflower is a technology company building large-scale entertainment products for a global audience. Our platforms serve millions of users worldwide and rank among the top-50 most visited websites globally. For more than 10 years, we've been creating reliable, high-performance solutions at the intersection of product, engineering, and entertainment.

The Business Developer is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and converting merchants that can benefit from our payment orchestration solutions.

The role manages the full B2B sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation and closing—while building long-term relationships with key decision-makers across the fintech and online payments ecosystem. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Business Developer delivers tailored payment solutions, monitors market trends, and contributes to achieving the company's commercial growth and revenue objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential clients in relevant online business verticals.

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.

  • Conduct discovery calls to understand merchants’ payment setup, challenges, processing volumes, markets, and business requirements.

  • Present the company’s payment orchestration solutions and clearly explain their commercial value.

  • Manage the complete sales process, including prospecting, qualification, product presentations, follow-ups, negotiations, and closing.

  • Develop long-term relationships with decision-makers, founders, payment managers, and senior executives.

  • Work closely with the partnerships, technical, onboarding, and account management teams.

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline information and activity records in the CRM.

  • Attend relevant fintech, payments, e-commerce, and digital industry conferences.

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities within target industries.

  • Meet agreed individual sales and revenue targets.

You will thrive if you have…

  • 3–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience specifically within fintech, payments, acquiring, payment processing, banking technology, or a closely related sector.

  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian is a must-have.

  • Based in Cyprus or willing to relocate to Cyprus.

  • Proven experience managing a full B2B sales cycle and closing complex commercial deals.

  • Good understanding of online payments, payment service providers, acquiring, card processing, payment conversion, fraud, chargebacks, or payment orchestration.

  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Commercially driven, proactive, organised, and comfortable working independently.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both commercial and technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working with international clients and multicultural teams.

Conditions

We know that great talent deserves great conditions, so here's what you can expect when joining us:

  • EU-based employment contract and a 3-year Cyprus work visa with full support for your relocation and visa processes, including assistance for your family.

  • EU passport. Opportunity to obtain an EU passport after 4 years of residence.

  • Full relocation package: flights to Limassol for you and your family, a company-covered apartment for the first month, and full relocation support to make your move smooth and hassle-free.

  • Transparent performance reviews twice a year, with bonus opportunities and salary adjustments.

  • Corporate mobile plan (unlimited in Cyprus with roaming included).

  • Mindfulness & well-being support, including psychological assistance with 50% coverage.

  • 50% coverage of school and kindergarten fees for your children.

  • Fully covered sports benefits, and also access to in-house electric scooters and bike rentals.

What applying to Mayflower usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through recruitee for roles at Mayflower can generally expect an online application involving a resume submission and possibly some screening questions or a short form. Recruitee is commonly used by companies to manage candidate pipelines, so applicants may receive automated confirmation emails and status updates as they move through stages. The process may include multiple stages such as an initial recruiter or HR screen, followed by hiring manager conversations, and potentially skills-based or take-home assessments depending on the role type, such as technical, design, or analytical positions. Communication style and response times vary by employer, even within the same ATS, so candidates should not assume a fixed timeline. It is typically advisable to prepare a clear, tailored application and follow up politely if no update is received after a reasonable period.”
