Job description

About the Team

Enterprise Marketing helps the world’s largest organizations understand, adopt, and scale AI. We create programs that bring OpenAI’s products, research, and perspective closer to the priorities, decisions, and work of enterprise customers.

Executive programming and hands-on experiences are an important part of how we help customers understand and adopt AI. They bring together our technology, our people, and real customer challenges so leaders can explore what is possible and see how it applies to their organizations.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Strategic Experiences Lead to bring OpenAI’s technology to life through compelling executive programs and interactive customer experiences. You will combine storytelling, demonstrations, hands-on exploration, and conversations with our experts to help customers understand what our technology can do and imagine new ways to put it to work.

Working with Product Marketing, technical teams, Design, and Events, you will take an idea from concept through delivery—shaping the programming, the interactions, and how they come together into a cohesive experience. Your work will span executive engagements, customer events, and other in-person settings.

This is a senior, hands-on individual-contributor role for someone who combines creative thinking with customer and commercial judgment. You will develop new concepts, test them with customers and partners, and lead the work required to deliver them at a consistently high standard.

This role is based in San Francisco. We use a hybrid model of three days in the office each week and offer relocation assistance. Given the nature of the work, periods of more intensive onsite participation are expected as new experiences are designed and launched. Travel may be required.

In this role, you will:

  • Translate product strategy and customer priorities into compelling programming and interactive experiences.

  • Shape the customer journey: what people hear, see, try, and take away.

  • Bring together storytelling, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and expert conversations around a clear customer objective.

  • Develop and test concepts with technical, creative, and events partners, then guide the work through delivery.

  • Make thoughtful tradeoffs across experience quality, technical feasibility, budget, and timing.

  • Use customer feedback and evidence of learning, adoption, and account progress to improve the work.

  • Build formats that can evolve with our technology and work across different audiences and settings.

You might thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 10+ years of experience in strategic programs, enterprise marketing, customer innovation, executive programs, field marketing, or a related go-to-market discipline.

  • Have personally built a meaningful customer-facing program or capability from the ground up and helped it scale.

  • Can translate a product capability or customer need into compelling programming and experiences that invite people to participate

  • Understand enterprise customers and can connect program choices to adoption, relationship, and commercial outcomes.

  • Know how to prototype, learn quickly, make hard tradeoffs, and stop work that does not earn further investment.

  • Are equally comfortable developing a creative brief, shaping a session or interactive experience, reviewing a prototype, and resolving a delivery issue.

  • Create clarity and momentum across functions and time zones without relying on formal authority.

  • Create formats and resources that other teams can use and improve without losing the quality of the original experience.

  • Are deliberately choosing a senior individual-contributor path because you want to remain close to consequential work.
