Vision Sales Engineer – Monterrey / Querétaro

About Overview.ai

Automation is a defining priority for manufacturers today. Automating quality inspection is one of the highest-impact ways this is happening; it directly affects yield, scrap rates, throughput, and whether production survives. Vision systems have been around for decades, but traditional competitors don't do true AI well. Their systems are rigid, require extensive programming, and struggle with the complexity of modern manufacturing.

That's changing now. Overview's edge-enabled AI vision devices handle assembly verification, defect detection, and orientation checks with accuracy that wasn't possible before. They integrate into existing production lines at speed, and customers see results on day one: higher yield, lower scrap, fewer escapes, faster throughput. This technology is new. The old rules don't apply.

Overview exists to catch every manufacturing defect in the world.

About the Role

This is a hands-on field role based in Monterrey or Querétaro, focused on building Overview’s presence across both regions through customer success and technical expertise.

You’ll work directly with manufacturers across Monterrey, Querétaro, and surrounding industrial corridors, handling everything from initial discovery through successful production deployment.

You’ll spend 60–80% of your time on factory floors, supporting customers, identifying high-impact use cases, and ensuring successful deployments. You’ll operate with real autonomy: no scripts, no hand-holding. You’ll be trusted to ask the right questions, make technical and commercial judgment calls in field environments, and move projects forward with support from Overview’s engineering team.

This is a high-impact role for someone ready to grow technical expertise, build long-term customer relationships, and establish themselves as a trusted technical resource across two of Mexico’s most important manufacturing hubs.

What You’ll Do

  • Support customer onboarding from first conversation through production deployment

  • Lead technical discovery, live demos, onsite evaluations, and troubleshooting on factory floors

  • Identify and evaluate high-impact inspection opportunities for deployment

  • Execute hands-on installations and troubleshooting with manufacturing teams

  • Provide field insights and feedback to inform product and deployment strategy

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key manufacturing partners across Monterrey and Querétaro

Who You Are

  • Proven experience operating in industrial environments, ideally with vision systems, robotics, automation, or advanced manufacturing technologies

  • Comfortable on factory floors; you don’t hesitate to get hands-on with equipment, debug issues, and support live production

  • Energized by ambiguity and fast-moving environments

  • See 60–80% travel across Monterrey, Querétaro, and nearby regions as an opportunity to build deep expertise and customer relationships

  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Applications Engineer, Field Engineer, Vision Engineer, Robotics Engineer, Automation Engineer, etc.)

  • Able to run technical discovery conversations, identify pain points, and translate them into clear deployment plans

  • Strong systems thinking and structured problem-solving approach

  • Communicate clearly in Spanish and English (professional working level)

  • Motivated to build deep expertise in AI vision inspection and grow your technical skills

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary

  • Sales commission (uncapped)

  • All-expenses-paid trips to customer locations

  • Remote work flexibility when not onsite

  • Supportive work environment

  • Opportunities for growth in a rapidly evolving industry

Why This Role Is Exciting

You’ll be one of the first technical faces of Overview across Monterrey and Querétaro, helping establish how this category-defining AI product gets deployed and scaled in two of Mexico’s key manufacturing ecosystems.

You’ll work directly on factory floors where your impact is immediate—higher yield, lower scrap, faster throughput, better quality. This is deeply hands-on, customer-focused work where field insights directly shape what we build next.
