Job description

Founding SDR (Sales Development Representative)

Location: US (2540 N 1st Street, San Jose, CA)
Type: Full-time
Reports to: CEO (initially)

About Oodle.ai

Oodle’s mission is to build an iconic observability company! Oodle.ai is an AI-native observability platform for logs, metrics, and traces—debugged in plain English. Under the hood, it’s powered by a modern serverless, S3-native architecture that’s radically simpler and 3–5× cheaper than legacy observability stacks. It's a drop-in replacement for Grafana, Elastic, and Datadog with 1-click migration. Customers include unicorns, and public companies: Lookout, Zaggle, CureFit, and Fuel Labs.

The founders are serial entrepreneurs (ex-Rubrik, AWS, YC, and IIT Alumni) who have built world class teams over the last decade. They lived through observability pain points for 8+ years - both as a buyer at a high scale company for 4.5 years (Rubrik) and as a company builder selling to the same buyer (4+ years at YC Startup). Our team has built and launched world-class products like Rubrik Security Cloud, AWS S3, DynamoDB, and Snowhouse at Snowflake. The team has not only co-founded startups but also understands how to scale them. We are backed by Engineering Capital, Pear VC, and SNR VC (2025's best early stage investor).

We’re winning customers who are tired of:

  • Datadog cost blowups

  • Elastic/OpenSearch operational overhead

  • Grafana/Loki scaling ceilings

  • Slow incident resolution

The Role

We’re hiring a Founding SDR to build our outbound engine from scratch.

This is for someone who has done early-stage startup selling before (ideally infra/devtools), sells well to technical buyers, and brings real hunger + high energy.

What You’ll Do

  • Prospect into SRE, DevOps, Platform, Infra, VP Eng

  • Run high-volume outbound across email, LinkedIn, and calls

  • Book qualified meetings and generate real pipeline

  • Learn the product deeply and improve messaging weekly

  • Build sequences, talk tracks, and a repeatable SDR playbook

  • Partner directly with the CEO + founding team

What We’re Looking For

You’ll do well here if you have:

  • Early-stage startup experience (Seed/Series A)

  • Experience selling infra/devtools to technical buyers

  • Entrepreneurial (has desire to start a company one day)

  • Strong outbound fundamentals + high activity

  • High ownership, urgency, and consistency

  • Comfortable coming to office 5 days / week (occasional travel)

  • The ability to learn fast, iterate, and bounce back quickly

Who this role is NOT for

This role is not for someone who:

  • Expects to be told what to do every day

  • Needs a perfectly defined process before executing

  • Can’t handle ambiguity, change, or intensity

Who this role IS for

This role is for someone who is entrepreneurial and wants to help build a foundational company — the kind of platform that becomes an industry default. If you want to be part of creating something in the league of Snowflake, Databricks, Rubrik (category-defining infrastructure), you’ll thrive here.

What Success Looks Like (First 60–90 Days)

  • Consistent meetings/week with ICP-fit accounts

  • Strong outbound motion that improves weekly

  • Clear learnings on personas, industries, and messaging

  • A repeatable playbook we can scale with future hires

Compensation

  • Competitive base + uncapped commission

  • Meaningful equity (early team)

  • Path to AE / Founding GTM / SDR Lead as we scale

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Top tier health, medical, and dental benefits

  • Meaningful equity ownership

  • Stunning colleagues
