JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Penn State College of Health and Human Development Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders University Park invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer position teaching CSD 895A Speech/Language Clinical Practicum for the Fall 2026 Semester.
The Part-Time Lecturer will teach a three-credit, graduate-level course that includes supervision of M.S. student clinicians in the Penn State Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic.
Requirements:
A master’s degree or equivalent education and experience in a related field is required.
Holding an active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.
Holding an active license to practice as a speech-language pathologist in Pennsylvania from the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology is required.
Holding current CPR certification is required.
Meeting requirements for ASHA-certified Clinical Educators, Supervisors, and Clinical Fellowship Mentors is required.
A minimum of three years of clinical practice is required.
Previous experience in clinical supervision is required.
The position is a one semester, non-tenure track appointment with the possibility of reappointment. Part-time lecturers normally teach one section.

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
