Job description

SentiLink helps institutions and protects customers by accurately resolving identities and flagging fraud risk. Each day, we verify more than 3 million identities, flagging 150k+ fraud attempts in the process. The problems we work on are challenging, and solving them takes deep domain expertise, rigorous analysis, and a willingness to dig into the details.

At SentiLink, you'll work alongside smart, highly collaborative colleagues who respect each other's time and judgment, take ownership, and follow through on their commitments. Together, we do truly meaningful work protecting the identities of innocent consumers and flagging the fraudsters attempting to exploit them.

We're well capitalized and growing quickly. We already serve 13 of the top 15 U.S. banks, we're expanding into new markets, and we're backed by Craft Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, NYCA, and Max Levchin. We've been named to the Forbes Fintech 50 and as a 2026 FICO Industry Vanguard Decision Award Winner. We were also the first company to go live with the electronic Consent Based Social Security Number Verification (eCBSV) service, and we've testified before the U.S. Congress on the future of identity.

We want SentiLink to be the best place you've ever worked. We offer generous benefits and support a range of working arrangements, from fully remote to in-office. We are a digital-first company with strong collaboration across the U.S. and India, and we meet in person regularly to build relationships. We have offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle (Bellevue), Los Angeles, and Chicago in the U.S., and in Gurugram (Delhi) and Bengaluru in India.

Role:

As an Enterprise Account Executive, Retail Energy, you will lead SentiLink’s expansion across the retail energy ecosystem, including competitive energy suppliers, retail electricity providers (REPs), retail natural gas providers, community choice aggregators (CCAs), utility-adjacent service providers, energy marketplaces, and energy technology platforms. You’ll partner with organizations facing complex challenges in identity verification, fraud prevention, customer onboarding, account security, payment risk, and compliance across their customer acquisition and account management experiences.

Your energy industry expertise will extend well beyond traditional sales - we're looking to you to help define our retail energy go-to-market strategy, develop playbooks for the vertical, and identify new opportunities across the broader energy ecosystem.

This is a remote, US-based role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the retail energy vertical by identifying, prioritizing, and engaging retail electricity providers, retail natural gas providers, community choice aggregators, energy retailers, energy marketplaces, and energy technology platforms

  • Own the entire sales cycles from prospecting through close, including discovery, business case development, solution positioning, and commercial negotiations

  • Help define SentiLink’s retail energy go-to-market strategy, messaging, and use cases

  • Build trusted relationships with fraud, risk, customer operations, revenue protection, credit, compliance, customer experience, and digital transformation leaders

  • Navigate complex organizations and align stakeholders across operational, technical, and executive teams

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success to drive successful customer outcomes

  • Stay current on evolving fraud trends, customer acquisition challenges, regulatory developments, and identity-related risks impacting energy providers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience, preferably selling SaaS solutions into retail energy, utilities, fintech, telecommunications, or financial services organizations

  • Demonstrated success selling into complex enterprise environments using a multi-stakeholder sales motion

  • Experience working with retail energy providers, utilities, energy marketplaces, energy technology companies, or customer acquisition organizations preferred

  • Strong understanding of customer onboarding, identity verification, fraud prevention, account security, payment risk, revenue protection, credit risk, or compliance workflows preferred

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly driven in fast-paced startup environments

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic selling skills

  • Established network within retail energy, utilities, fraud, risk, customer operations, credit, compliance, or digital transformation teams is a plus

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United States

Compensation:

  • $275,000/year - $350,000/year OTE + equity + benefits

Perks:

  • Employer paid group health insurance for you and your dependents

  • 401(k) plan with employer match (or equivalent for non US-based roles)

  • Flexible paid time off

  • Regular company-wide in-person events

  • Home office stipend, and more!

Corporate Values:

  • Follow Through

  • Deep Understanding

  • Whatever It Takes

  • Do Something Smart

What applying to SentiLink usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through Ashby can generally expect a structured online application process, typically starting with a form requesting resume, basic contact details, and sometimes short answer questions. Ashby-based processes commonly include an initial recruiter screen followed by one or more technical or role-specific assessments, which may include multiple stages such as hiring manager conversations, panel interviews, or take-home exercises depending on the role—whether in engineering, data, or go-to-market functions. Response times vary by employer and role volume, so candidates should not assume a fixed schedule. Communication is often handled through automated status updates within the platform, though candidates may also receive direct outreach from recruiters. As with most ATS-driven hiring, applicants should tailor materials to the specific role and expect some variation in process depth across departments.
