Job description

You’ll join the Premium Growth India team within the Markets & Subscriptions organisation, focused on making Spotify Premium an increasingly desirable music experience in India. Sitting at the intersection of marketing, product, music, and strategy, the team works closely with Music, Marketing, Partnerships, and other teams to grow Premium through cultural relevance and artist-led initiatives.

In this role, you’ll own Premium desirability and the artist and partner Premium flywheel for India, shaping how we work with artists, cultural moments, fandom, and partnerships to drive Premium consideration and measurable conversion at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and execute the Premium desirability strategy for India, using artist-led and culturally relevant initiatives to drive consideration and conversion.

  • Own the artist and partner flywheel for Premium growth, evolving artist advocacy, fan experiences, and partnership programs toward measurable Premium outcomes.

  • Shape and execute the Premium opportunity within existing in-person activations, including film partnerships, bespoke music events, festivals, and other relevant cultural moments.

  • Partner with local Music & Podcasts, Marketing, Partnerships, and other teams to identify and activate artists, creators, and partners that can help grow Premium.

  • Design and run desirability initiatives with clear success metrics, using performance data and audience behaviour to understand what works and continuously improve the strategy.

  • Own the fandom value opportunity for Premium end-to-end, from identifying opportunities to partnering with Product on fan-facing Premium features and experiences.

  • Develop business cases and evaluate the impact of desirability, artist, and partner initiatives to inform where we invest and scale.

  • Capture and share learnings that strengthen the India Premium Growth playbook, contribute to cross-regional Growth initiatives, and support adjacent growth priorities when business needs require it.

  • Integrate AI-driven tools and workflows thoughtfully to improve decision-making and execution efficiency.

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of experience across growth, marketing, partnerships, strategy, or related roles in a digital consumer business such as streaming, music, entertainment, media, or technology.

  • You have strong experience with music and fandom and understand how fan communities form, what drives engagement, and how fandom can translate into measurable business outcomes.

  • You understand growth marketing and connect cultural and creative ideas to measurable outcomes such as consideration, conversion, and subscriber growth.

  • You have experience independently owning and scaling artist-led campaigns, partnerships, live experiences, or similarly complex consumer initiatives from strategy through execution and measurement.

  • You are comfortable using data and audience insights to make decisions, test hypotheses, measure impact, and refine your approach.

  • You work effectively across functions and can influence outcomes without direct authority, particularly when collaborating with Music, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, and other teams.

  • You are curious about cultural trends and user behaviour in India and enjoy testing, learning, and iterating to understand what drives Premium consideration and conversion.

  • Experience working directly with artists, labels, fan platforms, music or entertainment marketing, or Product teams on consumer-facing experiences can help you succeed in this role.

Where You’ll Be

  • This role is based in Mumbai

  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.

What applying to Spotify usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through lever can generally expect a process consistent with common Lever-based hiring systems. After submitting an application, candidates may receive an automated confirmation, though response times vary and are not guaranteed. The process may include multiple stages, such as an initial recruiter screen, follow-up conversations with hiring managers or team members, and possibly a skills-based or technical assessment depending on the role. Communication is typically handled through email, with status updates sometimes visible in a candidate portal. Applicants should be prepared to articulate their relevant experience clearly, as Lever-based workflows often emphasize structured evaluation criteria. While specific steps can vary by department or seniority level, candidates can commonly expect a professional, organized process with opportunities to ask questions about role expectations and team structure along the way.
