Job description

The Ringer is looking for an experienced Talent Relations Manager to work with high-profile talent and book guests across our slate of shows. You’ll partner closely with our content teams, hosts, and producers to identify compelling talent opportunities and strategically book guests who connect with each show’s audience. You’ll bring strong relationships across the entertainment industry, sound judgment, and a genuine passion for podcasts and culture.

What You'll Do

  • Manage talent bookings across The Ringer’s podcast network, partnering closely with hosts and producers to identify and secure compelling guests.
  • Build consistent workflows and communication with show teams, including regular check-ins, guest pitches, and planning around tentpole events and key coverage moments.
  • Develop thoughtful guest strategies that align talent opportunities with each show’s audience, voice, and editorial priorities.
  • Support hosts and producers in preparing for guest appearances and help ensure teams have the information and resources they need.
  • Build trusted relationships with hosts across the network and act as a bridge between show teams and senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strong external relationships with talent, managers, agents, publicists, PR firms, studios, and networks.
  • Keep internal and external partners informed about new shows, launches, and opportunities across The Ringer network.

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of relevant experience working with celebrities, creators, managers, publicists, or other partners across the entertainment industry.
  • You have a demonstrated track record of booking high-profile guests and building trusted relationships with talent and their representatives.
  • You are a persuasive and thoughtful communicator who knows how to develop and pitch opportunities to internal and external partners.
  • You use audience insights, performance data, and strong editorial judgment to inform talent and booking decisions.
  • You have experience booking talent for podcasts, digital content, television, film, or related entertainment formats.
  • You have a strong understanding of pop culture and stay curious about emerging talent, conversations, and cultural moments.
  • You bring professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills to sensitive and fast-moving situations.
  • You are comfortable adapting to changing talent needs and traveling when the role requires it.

Where You'll Be

  • This role is based in Los Angeles, California.
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 3-4 days a week.

The United States base range for this position is $92,126–$131,609, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.

What applying to Spotify usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through lever can generally expect a process consistent with common Lever-based hiring systems. After submitting an application, candidates may receive an automated confirmation, though response times vary and are not guaranteed. The process may include multiple stages, such as an initial recruiter screen, follow-up conversations with hiring managers or team members, and possibly a skills-based or technical assessment depending on the role. Communication is typically handled through email, with status updates sometimes visible in a candidate portal. Applicants should be prepared to articulate their relevant experience clearly, as Lever-based workflows often emphasize structured evaluation criteria. While specific steps can vary by department or seniority level, candidates can commonly expect a professional, organized process with opportunities to ask questions about role expectations and team structure along the way.
