Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies, from the world’s largest enterprises to ambitious startups, use Stripe to accept payments, grow revenue, and pursue new business opportunities.

Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet. There is significant work ahead, and an opportunity to help make the global economy more accessible while doing meaningful work.

About the team

Link is Stripe’s consumer payments product. It helps consumers check out quickly and securely by saving their payment details, while helping businesses improve conversion and offer more payment options.

The Link sales team works with businesses to identify where Link can improve their checkout experience and support revenue growth. We partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Solutions Architecture, and other go-to-market teams to bring Link to more businesses and consumers.

What you’ll do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives responsible for driving Link adoption and revenue growth.
  • Set clear goals and operating rhythms for the team, including pipeline management, account planning, forecasting, and opportunity reviews.
  • Partner with Account Executives on account strategy, executive engagement, business cases, commercial negotiations, and complex deals.
  • Build a high-performing team by hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining strong sales talent.
  • Work with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and Solutions Architecture to improve the Link sales motion and address customer needs.
  • Help define the customer segments, use cases, and sales strategies where Link can have the greatest commercial impact.
  • Develop strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders and represent Link in strategic customer conversations.
  • Use customer feedback and market insight to inform product priorities, positioning, enablement, and go-to-market plans.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of Link, the checkout and payments landscape, and the factors that affect customer conversion and payment performance.
  • Contribute to the broader sales organization through talent development, process improvements, and cross-functional leadership.

Minimum requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience, including experience selling technical products or platforms to complex organizations.
  • 2+ years of people-management experience leading and developing quota-carrying sellers.
  • A track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams against ambitious revenue goals.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including executive-level relationships and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience developing account strategies and sales plans across multiple business units within large or complex organizations.
  • Ability to understand technical products, payment flows, and customer business requirements, and to translate them into clear commercial value.
  • Strong coaching, hiring, performance-management, and talent-development skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in payments, checkout experiences, consumer products, and technology.

What applying to Stripe usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through greenhouse can typically expect an online application form requesting resume and basic background details, followed by an automated confirmation email. For Stripe, given the breadth of roles posted, initial screening commonly involves a recruiter phone call to review experience and role fit, followed by additional evaluation stages that may include technical or functional assessments, take-home exercises, and interviews with hiring managers or team members. Greenhouse-based processes generally allow candidates to track application status through a candidate portal, though response times vary and are not guaranteed. Communication is often handled via email, and candidates may be asked to complete structured interview kits designed for consistency. Overall, applicants can generally expect a multi-stage evaluation process, though exact steps and duration depend on the specific role and team involved.
