About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Sales & Estimation professional to join our Plate team in East Tāmaki, Auckland, on a full-time, permanent basis. You'll work closely with customers, our sales team and the production floor to deliver accurate quotes and outstanding service.
What You'll Do
- Prepare accurate quotations and estimates from customer drawings, specifications and enquiries
- Process customer orders and manage day-to-day account queries
- Provide technical advice and product knowledge to customers
- Follow up on quotes to support sales conversion and build strong customer relationships
- Liaise with production and operations to confirm lead times and product availability
What You'll Bring
- Key hard skills, in order of importance:
- Experience in internal sales, estimating or customer service within steel, metals, manufacturing or a related trade industry
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong numeracy and accuracy preparing quotes and processing orders
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple customer requests at once
- Confident computer skills, comfortable using business or ERP systems
- Currently residing in NZ or holding a valid work visa
- Willing to complete a pre-employment medical and drug screen
