Wanderlust App is a trip-planning platform that drafts AI-grounded itineraries from real city and cost data, runs an offline Trip Mode for travelers on the ground, and powers a social discovery feed where users can share and clone trips. We're looking for a Trust & Safety Analyst to help keep the platform's shared content, user-generated trips, and community features safe, accurate, and free from abuse.
In this role, you'll be part of the team responsible for protecting users as they plan, share, and discover trips through Wanderlust's community and publishing features.
What you'll do
- Review and moderate user-generated content, including published trips, guides, comments, and profile information, against community guidelines and policy standards
- Investigate and action reports of abuse, spam, fraud, fake accounts, or policy violations across the platform
- Identify emerging trends in abusive behavior, coordinated manipulation, or content quality issues and escalate patterns to relevant teams
- Partner with product, engineering, and support teams to improve detection tools, moderation workflows, and reporting mechanisms
- Document investigation findings and maintain accurate case records for audits and policy refinement
- Help refine and clarify trust and safety policies as new features (such as the /explore feed, Publisher accounts, and collaboration tools) are introduced
What we're looking for
- 1-3+ years of experience in trust and safety, content moderation, community operations, or a related risk/policy role
- Strong judgment and consistency when applying nuanced guidelines to real-world content and user reports
- Comfort working with data and identifying patterns of abuse, fraud, or spam at scale
- Clear written communication for documenting cases, writing user-facing responses, and collaborating cross-functionally
- Ability to handle sensitive or difficult content with professionalism and composure
- Familiarity with reporting/ticketing tools and basic data analysis (spreadsheets, dashboards, or SQL a plus)
Nice to have
- Experience moderating travel, marketplace, or social/UGC platforms
- Familiarity with payments fraud, account takeover, or identity verification workflows
- Exposure to policy writing or trust and safety program design
