Content Writer

Wanderlust App is looking for a Travel Content Writer to create the destination and travel content that powers our planning tools, city guides, and itineraries. You'll help travelers get inspired and get moving — writing content that's accurate, useful, and grounded in how people actually travel, across our library of 1,300+ cities in 190+ countries.

What you'll do

• Write and edit destination guides, neighborhood breakdowns, and starter itineraries for cities in our guide library
• Research and fact-check local details — costs, transit, safety notes, food and activity recommendations — to keep content grounded and current
• Translate city and cost data into clear, day-by-day itinerary copy that reflects real travel patterns
• Collaborate with editors and product teams to shape guides that travelers can reshape around their own dates, group, and budget
• Write supporting copy for curated lists and category pages (for example, best cities for a given type of trip)
• Maintain a consistent voice and editorial standard across a high volume of destination content

What we're looking for

• Proven experience writing travel, destination, or guidebook-style content, either in-house or as a freelancer
• Strong research skills and comfort verifying facts like pricing, hours, and logistics for accuracy
• Ability to write clean, concise, well-structured copy on a deadline and adapt tone across different destinations
• A portfolio of published travel writing, guides, or itineraries you can share
• Comfortable working with editorial guidelines and incorporating feedback from editors

Nice to have

• First-hand travel experience across multiple continents or regions
• Experience writing for a travel app, booking platform, or guide publisher
• Familiarity with SEO best practices for travel or destination content
• Basic understanding of how AI-assisted itinerary tools work
