Video Editor

Wanderlust is a travel planning app that drafts grounded, day-by-day itineraries from real city and cost data, runs trips offline on the ground through Trip Mode, and lets travelers publish and discover trips in a shared /explore feed. We're looking for a Video Editor / Short-form Creator to help bring the product and the travel experience it enables to life through video content for social and marketing channels.

In this role, you'll turn raw footage, screen recordings, and app demos into fast, engaging short-form videos that show what Wanderlust does and why it's different from a chatbot or a trip-storage app.

What you'll do

• Edit short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, YouTube) that showcase app features like AI itinerary planning, Optimize Day, Trip Mode, and Travel Passport
• Turn raw footage, screen recordings, and user-generated content into polished, on-brand videos with strong pacing and hooks
• Add captions, motion graphics, sound design, and text overlays to maximize watch time and engagement
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to translate feature launches and campaigns into video concepts
• Stay on top of short-form video trends, formats, and platform best practices, and adapt them to Wanderlust's voice
• Manage a content calendar and deliver videos on schedule across multiple platforms

What we're looking for

• Proven experience editing short-form video content for social platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
• Proficiency with editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut
• A strong eye for pacing, hooks, and storytelling that work in the first three seconds
• Comfort working independently, managing multiple video projects, and hitting deadlines
• A portfolio or reel demonstrating short-form editing work
• Basic motion graphics or animation skills

Nice to have

• Experience creating content in the travel, lifestyle, or app/tech space
• Comfort appearing on camera or narrating content
• Familiarity with mobile app UI capture and screen-recording tools
• Basic photography or videography skills for shooting original footage
