What’s the interview process like?

It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 to 2 conversations about Watershed, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but usual next steps are a skill or experience interview (e.g. a coding interview for an engineer, a portfolio review for a designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in person interview panel. We prioritize transparency and lack of surprise throughout the process.

What if I need accommodations for my interview?

At Watershed, we are dedicated to ensuring an inclusive recruitment process. We provide reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities, long-term conditions, mental health needs, religious observances, neurodivergence, or pregnancy-related support requirements. If you need assistance during your process, please contact your recruiter.

What applying to Watershed usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through ashby can generally expect a structured online application, often starting with a resume and cover letter submission followed by an automated confirmation. Ashby-based processes commonly include an initial recruiter screen, followed by one or more interviews with hiring managers or team members, which may include multiple stages such as technical assessments, case studies, or role-specific exercises depending on the position. Watershed applicants should be prepared for potential take-home assignments or live problem-solving sessions, particularly for technical or analytical roles. Communication is typically handled through the ashby platform, and response times vary based on role and hiring volume. Candidates may also encounter values-based or culture-fit interviews later in the process. As with most ashby-powered hiring flows, transparency about next steps is common, though specific timelines and interview formats can differ by department and seniority level.
