Job descriptionFull Time

Web Design Awards is an editorially-curated awards platform that judges and indexes the best work on the web, giving winners a permanent, Google-indexed award page and a spot in the directory that buyers and hiring teams browse. We're looking for a Community Manager to grow and engage the audience of designers, studios, and agencies who submit work, follow the judging, and use the index to find talent.

What you'll do

  • Grow and moderate our community across social channels, newsletter replies, and any on-site or forum discussion spaces
  • Plan and execute a content calendar that highlights winners, jurors, and rubric insights to drive engagement
  • Respond to community questions and comments in a timely, on-brand voice
  • Partner with editorial and judging teams to promote newly awarded sites, Site of the Month picks, and studio spotlights
  • Track community engagement metrics and report on what content and campaigns are resonating
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with designers, studios, and agencies who could become active advocates or repeat submitters

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in community management, social media, or audience engagement roles
  • Strong written communication skills and a good eye for tone and voice
  • Comfort working with content calendars, scheduling tools, and basic analytics/reporting
  • Experience building engagement in a niche or professional community (design, tech, or creative industries a plus)
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple channels at once
  • Genuine interest in web design, branding, or the creative agency landscape

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the web design or digital agency industry
  • Experience running or growing a newsletter audience
  • Basic design or web literacy (able to speak knowledgeably about UX, branding, and site performance)
