Job descriptionFull Time

Casework produces AI Act conformity files, Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments, and Article 9 risk documentation for companies using AI hiring tools, working against the EU AI Act, Colorado AI Act, Illinois HB 3773, and NYC LL 144. We're looking for an AI Governance & Policy Analyst to help research, draft, and structure these regulatory documentation packs for our clients.

This role sits at the center of our production process: translating regulatory requirements across multiple regimes into concrete, regulator-ready artifacts for real hiring AI tools and workflows.

What you'll do

  • Draft sections of conformity files, FRIAs, and Article 9 risk management documentation for client hiring AI tools
  • Map client hiring workflows and AI tools against EU AI Act, Colorado AI Act, Illinois HB 3773, and NYC LL 144 requirements
  • Conduct discovery with client teams to identify design decisions, data flows, and risk factors not currently documented anywhere
  • Track and interpret regulatory developments across converging regimes, including proposed California rules
  • Build and maintain post-market monitoring plans, including metrics, thresholds, and escalation paths
  • Support engagement production cycles, working within fixed intake-discovery-drafting-review-handoff timelines

What we're looking for

  • Experience with AI governance, technology policy, compliance, or regulatory documentation work
  • Familiarity with at least one of: EU AI Act, US state AI/algorithmic hiring laws, or similar risk/impact assessment frameworks
  • Strong technical writing skills — able to produce precise, citation-backed documentation, not advocacy memos
  • Comfort working directly with client stakeholders during discovery and review conversations
  • Ability to work within a fixed-scope, fixed-timeline production process rather than open-ended consulting engagements
  • Detail-oriented, comfortable synthesizing regulatory text, vendor documentation, and internal client input into a coherent file

Nice to have

  • Background in HR technology, people analytics, or hiring/recruiting systems
  • Experience conducting bias audits or algorithmic impact assessments
  • Familiarity with AI vendor landscape for hiring tools (assessment platforms, sourcing tools, conversational screeners, resume-screening models)
