Job descriptionFull Time

Casework produces AI Act conformity files, Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments, and Article 9 risk documentation for AI hiring tools, working against a fixed four-week production cycle. We're hiring a Paralegal to support the drafting and production of these regulatory documentation packs, working closely with the team that manages intake, discovery, drafting, review, and handoff for each engagement.

This role is well suited to someone who is comfortable with dense regulatory source material, enjoys structured document production under deadline, and wants to build deep expertise in a narrow, fast-moving area of AI regulation.

What you'll do

  • Support drafting of conformity documentation, including risk registers, impact assessments, and monitoring plans, under attorney or senior staff direction
  • Conduct research into applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., EU AI Act, Colorado AI Act, Illinois HB 3773, NYC LL 144) and track citation accuracy across drafts
  • Organize and maintain case files, intake materials, vendor correspondence, and supporting documentation for each engagement
  • Assist with fact-checking and cite-checking of technical documentation prior to internal review and client handoff
  • Coordinate timelines across concurrent engagements to keep production cycles on schedule
  • Prepare materials for client walkthroughs and revision rounds

What we're looking for

  • Paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree with relevant compliance, legal support, or regulatory research experience
  • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize regulatory text into clear, structured documentation
  • Meticulous attention to detail, particularly around citation accuracy and document consistency
  • Comfort working under fixed deadlines across multiple concurrent files
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing document-heavy workflows

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with regulatory compliance, technology law, or data privacy documentation
  • Familiarity with AI governance, employment law, or HR technology
  • Experience working in a small firm or productized services environment
