Job descriptionFull Time

Casework produces conformity files, Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments, and Article 9 risk documentation for AI hiring tools, aligned to the EU AI Act, Colorado AI Act, Illinois HB 3773, and NYC LL 144. We are hiring an Algorithmic Impact Assessment Auditor to lead the substantive analysis behind these deliverables: assessing AI hiring tools against regulatory requirements, identifying risks and gaps, and producing documentation that stands up to regulator, counsel, and internal-compliance review.

What you'll do

  • Conduct algorithmic impact assessments and Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments for AI hiring tools, scoped to a client's actual workflow and affected populations
  • Evaluate AI hiring systems against EU AI Act, Colorado AI Act, Illinois HB 3773, NYC LL 144, and related requirements
  • Identify and document risks, residual-risk justifications, and mitigation measures for Article 9-style risk management files
  • Design and document bias audit frameworks, including audit scope, methodology, and results summaries
  • Draft post-market monitoring plans, including metrics, thresholds, ownership, and escalation paths
  • Review vendor-provided documentation and technical materials, flag gaps, and engage vendors directly when documentation is incomplete or unavailable

What we're looking for

  • Experience conducting algorithmic audits, impact assessments, or AI risk assessments, ideally involving employment or HR technology
  • Working knowledge of at least one major AI governance framework or regulation (EU AI Act, NYC LL 144, Colorado AI Act, Illinois HB 3773, or comparable)
  • Ability to translate technical AI system behavior into clear, well-cited documentation suitable for regulators, auditors, and legal counsel
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with attention to detail in structured, deadline-driven deliverables
  • Comfort working directly with client stakeholders and third-party AI vendors to gather documentation and close gaps

Nice to have

  • Background in data science, HR technology, or algorithmic bias testing
  • Familiarity with Annex IV technical documentation requirements or similar structured regulatory schemas
  • Prior experience producing audit or assessment work under fixed-scope, fixed-timeline engagements
