Budapest

DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.

JOB PURPOSE

We're looking for a versatile Midweight Visual Designer to join our Creative & Media team. Based in Croatia, you'll work closely with our Benelux & Nordics teams to create visual campaigns, digital content and visual identities for international clients.

You'll collaborate with creatives, strategists and art directors to bring ideas to life visually. From shaping a new brand identity or creative campaign to designing social ads, digital content and presentations.

We're looking for someone with a strong graphic design foundation, excellent typography skills and a sharp eye for visual hierarchy and details. Someone who can create from scratch, but is equally comfortable turning an existing creative direction or brand identity into consistently great work.

You have a strong interest in (generative) AI and actively experiment with the latest tools and developments. You know how to use AI to explore new creative possibilities, while maintaining a critical eye for the output. Above all, you understand that strong ideas, taste and art direction matter more than technical mastery of any individual tool.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Design and develop visual identities, campaigns and marketing content across digital channels.
  • Translate creative concepts and brand guidelines into social ads, digital advertising, presentations and other assets.
  • Ideate and develop visual concepts together with creatives, strategists and art directors.
  • Create and art direct imagery using generative AI, and explore AI-driven workflows to enhance the creative process.
  • Apply strong typography, composition and attention to detail across your work.
  • Create basic motion and animation where needed.
  • Take designs from concept through to final production.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 3–5 years of commercial design experience, ideally within an agency or design studio.
  • A strong portfolio covering both branding and marketing content, with a clear eye for typography, composition and detail.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI, and the drive to experiment with new tools and stay current with developments in AI.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
  • Experience designing for digital channels and formats, such as social, display and email.
  • Basic motion design skills.
  • Comfortable developing ideas from scratch as well as working within existing brand guidelines and creative directions.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with creatives, strategists, art directors and other designers.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not a requirement:

  • Creative automation
  • HTML5 display development.
  • 3D design
  • Illustration
  • Print design and production
  • A passion project, creative obsession or side project you can't stop talking about.

We don't expect you to be an expert in everything. We're looking for someone with a strong design foundation, broad curiosity and the drive to keep developing their craft and technical skills.

WE OFFER

  • Private health insurance and access to a range of healthcare and preventive services.
  • Sports & cultural benefits to support your wellbeing and work-life balance.
  • Dog-friendly office
  •  Hybrid working policy
  • A reputation for doing good. DEPT® has been a Certified B Corp® since 2021.
  • Awesome clients. Whether big, small, local or global — at DEPT® you’ll get the opportunity to work with all of them. And we celebrate all of our successes together!
  • The opportunity for possibility. We want to enable you to do what you do best and help you develop your skills further with training, development and certifications.
  • Global annual DEPT® Cares Month in which employees come together and donate their skills to support local charities.

WHO ARE WE?

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION

At DEPT®, we take pride in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We actively seek to recruit, develop, nurture, and retain talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and perspectives.

Not sure you meet all qualifications? Apply, and let us decide! Research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs when they think they may not meet every requirement, when in fact they do. We believe in giving everyone a fair chance to shine.

We also encourage you to reach out to us and discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to support you throughout the recruitment process and your time with us.Want to know more about our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion? Check out our efforts here.
