Job descriptionFull Time
Elite Hockey HQ builds a training platform used by hockey players — combining periodized workout programs, skill video libraries, and daily readiness tracking into one app. We're looking for a Mobile Engineer (iOS / Android) to help build and maintain the mobile experience that athletes and teams rely on every day to train, log workouts, and track recovery.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and ship new features across our iOS and/or Android apps
- Collaborate with product and design to translate training, readiness, and skill-video features into polished mobile experiences
- Integrate with backend APIs and third-party services (e.g., wearables and readiness data sources) to power in-app functionality
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
- Monitor app performance, crash rates, and user-facing bugs, and drive fixes
- Contribute to release processes, including app store submissions and updates
What we're looking for
- Professional experience building and shipping native mobile apps (Swift/iOS and/or Kotlin/Java for Android)
- Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns, state management, and performance optimization
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous data flows
- Familiarity with app store submission and release processes
- Strong debugging skills and comfort working across the full mobile development lifecycle
- Ability to collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers
Nice to have
- Experience with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter)
- Experience integrating wearable device data (e.g., HRV, sleep, or fitness tracking APIs)
- Background building consumer fitness, sports, or health-tracking apps
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile release automation
