Habeo is the IT asset management (ITAM) and CMDB platform built specifically for higher education, replacing ServiceNow ITAM at universities with native GASB 34/35 depreciation, Workday-driven lifecycle, and MDM-native discovery from Jamf, Intune, and Google Admin. We're hiring a Content Writer to own the writing that explains Habeo's product and higher-ed expertise to IT asset managers, CIOs, CISOs, and grant administrators across our website, sales enablement materials, and thought leadership.
What you'll do
- Write and edit website copy, landing pages, and feature explainers that translate technical ITAM/CMDB concepts into clear, credible language for higher-ed IT audiences
- Produce long-form content such as blog posts, comparison guides, and glossary entries covering topics like GASB compliance, HECVAT, and asset lifecycle management
- Draft sales enablement content including one-pagers, case studies, and FAQ material used on demo calls
- Collaborate with founders and product team members to accurately represent product capabilities and integrations
- Maintain a consistent voice and terminology across all customer-facing content
- Research and stay current on higher-ed IT compliance frameworks (GASB, Uniform Guidance, HECVAT, FERPA) to keep content accurate and authoritative
What we're looking for
- Proven experience writing B2B or SaaS content, ideally for a technical or compliance-driven audience
- Strong editing skills and comfort turning dense technical or regulatory material into clear prose
- Ability to work closely with subject-matter experts (founders, engineers) to fact-check and refine content
- Excellent written English with meticulous attention to detail and consistency
- Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple content projects and deadlines
Nice to have
- Experience writing for higher education, government, or public-sector IT audiences
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GASB, FERPA, or HECVAT
- Experience writing for a startup or small marketing team where you own content end-to-end
