Habeo is building the IT asset management and CMDB platform designed specifically for higher education — a modern alternative to ServiceNow ITAM, with native MDM discovery (Jamf, Intune, Google Admin), Workday/Banner-driven lifecycle automation, and GASB/Uniform Guidance compliance built in. We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help design, build, and scale the core product used by IT asset managers, controllers, and grant administrators across universities.
What you'll do
- Design and build full stack features across the product, from data model to UI, spanning the asset ledger, CMDB relationship graph, and integrations
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems such as MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune, Google Admin) and HRIS/ERP systems (Workday, Banner, PeopleSoft)
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code across backend services and frontend interfaces
- Collaborate with product and design to translate higher-ed workflows (audits, depreciation, grant compliance) into reliable software
- Own features end-to-end, including data modeling, API design, performance, and monitoring in production
- Participate in code review, technical design discussions, and on-call rotations as needed
What we're looking for
- Professional experience building full stack web applications, including both backend (APIs, databases, data models) and frontend (modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks) work
- Strong understanding of relational databases and experience designing schemas for complex, relational domains
- Experience building or integrating with third-party APIs and webhooks
- Comfort working across the stack and picking up new tools and frameworks as needed
- Solid fundamentals in testing, debugging, and reasoning about system design and data integrity
- Clear written and verbal communication, especially when working with a small, cross-functional team
Nice to have
- Experience building audit-sensitive or compliance-sensitive systems (financial, healthcare, education, or government software)
- Familiarity with SSO/SAML, SCIM, or identity federation standards
- Experience with graph-based data models or CMDB-style relationship data
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup shipping product directly to customers
