Social Media Specialist

Habeo is the asset system of record for higher education, built to replace legacy ITAM systems like ServiceNow at universities. We're looking for a Social Media Specialist to build and manage Habeo's presence across social platforms, helping us reach IT asset managers, controllers, and technology leaders at colleges and universities.

What you'll do

• Plan, write, and schedule social media content across platforms such as LinkedIn and X to reach higher-ed IT and finance audiences
• Translate product updates, blog posts, and press mentions into engaging social content
• Monitor social channels for engagement, questions, and mentions, and respond or escalate as appropriate
• Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth) and report on what's working
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align social content with launches, campaigns, and events
• Stay current on trends in B2B and higher-education social media to keep Habeo's voice fresh and relevant

What we're looking for

• Prior experience managing social media accounts for a company, brand, or organization
• Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences
• Comfort working with analytics tools to measure and report on social performance
• Basic graphic or content creation skills (e.g., using Canva or similar tools)
• Highly organized, able to manage a content calendar and meet deadlines independently
• Interest in or willingness to learn the higher-education and B2B SaaS landscape

Nice to have

• Experience marketing to higher education, IT, or enterprise software audiences
• Familiarity with LinkedIn organic and paid content strategy
• Basic video editing skills for short-form social content
