HireAIScore is an independent directory that scores AI hiring vendors against a published rubric tied to the EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, Colorado AI Act, and Illinois HB 3773. We're looking for a Video Editor to help us produce clear, credible video content that explains our methodology, breaks down rankings and vendor scores, and makes complex regulatory topics understandable for HR, compliance, and legal audiences.
What you'll do
- Edit long-form and short-form video content from raw footage, screen recordings, and interviews into polished, publish-ready pieces
- Cut explainer videos covering scoring methodology, rubric changes, and regulatory updates
- Add motion graphics, lower-thirds, captions, and on-screen text to support data-heavy or technical content
- Collaborate with editorial and research staff to accurately represent scores, rankings, and written analysis in video form
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines, from raw footage intake through final export and delivery
- Organize and maintain a media library of footage, graphics templates, and brand assets
What we're looking for
- Proven experience editing video professionally, with a portfolio or reel demonstrating range and polish
- Strong command of a professional editing suite (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Comfort working with technical, data-driven, or regulatory subject matter and translating it into accessible visuals
- Experience with motion graphics and basic animation to support charts, rankings, and data callouts
- Solid understanding of pacing, story structure, and audience retention for explainer and educational content
- Ability to work independently, take feedback, and turn around revisions quickly
Nice to have
- Experience editing content for a compliance, legal, HR tech, or policy-focused audience
- Familiarity with captioning and accessibility standards for video
- Basic color correction and audio mixing skills
