LandEarly is an AI job application agent that finds roles, tailors resumes and cover letters, and submits applications while postings are still fresh, so early applicants get seen. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the product that powers this experience for job seekers across web and mobile.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and ship features across the stack, from backend services to user-facing product surfaces
- Own technical decisions for projects end to end, from design through deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate closely with product and design to translate user needs into reliable, well-tested software
- Improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of existing systems as usage grows
- Review code and provide technical mentorship to other engineers on the team
- Help establish and evolve engineering practices, tooling, and standards as the team grows
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including work on production systems at scale
- Strong command of at least one modern backend language and experience designing APIs and data models
- Track record of owning projects independently, from ambiguous requirements to shipped, maintained features
- Experience working with distributed systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: testing, code review, CI/CD, and system design
- Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating cross-functionally with product and design
Nice to have
- Experience building consumer-facing products or applications with real-time or automated workflows
- Familiarity with AI/ML-powered product features or integrating with large language models
- Experience working at an early-stage or fast-moving startup
