LandEarly is looking for a Technical Writer to help make our product clearer and easier to use for job seekers navigating their applications. LandEarly is an auto-apply tool that finds fresh job postings, tailors resumes and cover letters, and submits applications on behalf of users - and this role will help explain how it all works, in-product and beyond.
What you'll do
- Write and maintain clear, user-facing help center articles, FAQs, and in-app guidance for LandEarly's features (profile setup, AI Apply, Autopilot, tracking, and the browser extension)
- Translate complex product functionality into plain-language explanations for a non-technical audience
- Partner with product and engineering teams to document new features ahead of launch
- Create and update onboarding content, tooltips, and empty states to reduce user confusion
- Maintain a consistent voice and terminology across all product documentation
- Audit existing documentation regularly to keep it accurate as the product evolves
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing, UX writing, or content design, ideally for a consumer software product
- Proven ability to explain technical or workflow-based features in simple, user-friendly language
- Strong editing skills and an eye for consistency in tone, terminology, and formatting
- Experience working directly with product and engineering teams to gather and verify information
- Comfortable managing multiple documentation projects and deadlines independently
- A portfolio or writing samples demonstrating clear, concise user-facing content
Nice to have
- Experience writing for a SaaS or subscription product
- Familiarity with help center platforms or documentation tools
- Experience writing UX microcopy for web and mobile apps
