Position Summary

NYU’s Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate Director, External Relations, on the Careers team. The selected candidate will manage a portfolio of employer relationships across some of the school’s most critical industries. They will serve as both a strategic advisor and operational partner to companies, overseeing the end-to-end execution of recruiting efforts. The Senior Associate Director will advise employers on recruitment strategies, coordinate events and interviews, and ensure alignment with school processes and timelines. The selected candidate will liaise between employers, students, and internal career coaches to communicate expectations, manage logistics, and surface insights to improve the recruiting experience for all parties. They will develop and implement a targeted outreach strategy to cultivate new employer relationships and uncover job opportunities for Stern MBA students. The Senior Associate Director will leverage alumni networks, track market trends, and initiate employer-focused engagement initiatives such as information sessions, industry events, and pipeline-building conversations.

Qualifications

The selected candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of professional-level experience in human resources, career counseling, recruitment, admissions, corporate relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate must have experience in business development, including account management, client relationship management, sales, or related functions, and demonstrate the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships, with experience developing new external partnerships while strengthening and optimizing established ones. Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, project management, platform, communication, and organizational skills are required. The candidate must also have the ability to adapt based on business needs and work independently to achieve goals.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00 to USD $115,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
