The opportunity

We are looking for a Manager to join our Commercial team and strengthen our Direct Accounts & Leasing business in Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with key leasing companies, fleet customers, subscription providers, and other direct sales partners.

You will play a central role in driving sustainable fleet growth, supporting commercial performance and ensuring that Polestar remains a preferred partner for the professional mobility market. By working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will contribute directly to achieving our commercial objectives and strengthening our position in the German fleet market.

This position is based in Germany, preferably in the Cologne area. Some travel within Germany will be required.

The responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing strategic direct sales partnerships while identifying new business opportunities and supporting the continued growth of Polestar's fleet business in Germany.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing relationships with key leasing companies, fleet customers, subscription providers, rental companies, and other direct sales partners

  • Driving vehicle sales through existing partners while identifying and acquiring new Direct Accounts

  • Leading regular business reviews with strategic partners to monitor performance, identify growth opportunities and strengthen long-term collaboration

  • Negotiating commercial agreements/contracts and supporting the implementation of joint business plans and marketing activities

  • Working closely with internal stakeholders across Sales including Remarketing, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Product, and Customer Support to ensure successful partner onboarding and business execution

  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities and fleet developments to identify opportunities and recommend commercial actions

  • Supporting sales forecasting, pipeline management and performance reporting for the Direct Accounts & Leasing business

  • Representing Polestar at customer meetings, industry events and relevant fleet and leasing forums

The ideal candidate

To succeed in this role, you are a relationship builder with strong commercial acumen and a passion for developing strategic partnerships. You enjoy working with customers, negotiating mutually beneficial solutions and identifying opportunities to grow the business.

You are proactive, structured and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment. You thrive in an international organization and combine analytical thinking with a hands-on approach to deliver commercial results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field

  • At least three years of experience in Key Account Management, Fleet Sales, Leasing, Business Development or Automotive Sales

  • Experience working with leasing companies, fleet customers or other B2B automotive partners is highly desirable

  • Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship management skills

  • Excellent analytical skills and experience working with sales performance data

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Fluent German and English skills with the ability to work effectively in an international environment
