Join us in building the future of finance.

Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading.

About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of our decentralized finance experiences. DeFi is one of the most complex and rapidly evolving spaces in crypto, and the design problems we're solving don't always have strong precedents.

You'll drive product vision and execution across DeFi initiatives— Robinhood Chain, Robinhood Wallet, and more— working closely with product, engineering, legal and compliance and other cross-functional partners to ship best-in-class experiences.

Design at Robinhood is AI-first. This role is for someone who already uses AI as a core part of how they think, explore, and execute.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA, and New York, NY office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do

  • Drive outcomes end-to-end. Partner with product to define problems, validate solutions, and ship experiences that change how customers interact with crypto.
  • Bring clarity to complexity. Simplify complex crypto concepts into simple and intuitive interfaces.
  • Uphold the craft bar. Help set the standard for design quality and product excellence across the team.
  • Start with AI. Use AI to explore problem spaces, surface edge cases, and generate early prototypes while you guide intent, structure, and quality.

What you bring

  • Strong product design experience working on complex, consumer-facing products with end-to-end ownership
  • Active use of AI in your design workflow
  • Solid systems thinking, balancing detail with the big picture
  • Experience partnering with engineering, product, research, legal, and compliance in a highly regulated environment
  • Deep crypto knowledge— experience isn’t required, but fluency is

What we offer

  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career
  • Performance driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching
  • Best in class benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents
  • Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

What applying to Robinhood usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through greenhouse for roles at Robinhood can typically expect an initial application review followed by a recruiter screening call to discuss background and interest. The process may include multiple stages such as hiring manager conversations, technical or role-specific assessments, and panel interviews with team members, depending on the position applied for—whether in engineering, product, operations, or business functions. Greenhouse-based processes commonly involve structured interview kits, meaning candidates may be asked consistent, role-relevant questions across stages. Communication is often handled through automated status updates, though response times vary and candidates should not assume a fixed timeline. Preparing to discuss relevant experience, problem-solving approaches, and alignment with the role's core responsibilities is generally advisable, as is reviewing the specific job posting closely, since expectations can differ notably across the many open position types.”
