As part of the finance group, we partner with our consulting and operations teams to ensure we make sound financial decisions. You can help Thoughtworks to achieve enduring commercial success and sustainable growth by being an awesome partner to our clients and their ambitious missions.

Those aspirations can include maximizing client revenue opportunities, modeling portfolio profit scenarios, managing costs and expenses or influencing our multi-year business strategy. You can create process improvements to maximize efficiency and accuracy, provide critical analysis to solve mission-critical problems and challenge yourself every day.

Job responsibilities

  • Act as the main finance business partner for the business unit, partnering day-to-day with the Industry Market Leaders and Sales team across all areas of commercial operations.
  • Drive financial awareness across business unit stakeholders, translating financial information clearly for both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Support the preparation of executive-ready reporting packages and KPI dashboards for senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the commercial review and preparation of client proposals and RFPs.
  • Own end-to-end financial oversight of a portfolio of projects - including business case and project modelling/analysis, control of project run rates and KPIs, and ongoing analysis and critical insight to support decision-making.
  • Interpret large volumes of complex customer and pricing data to enable more informed business decisions.
  • Support regional planning cycles where required, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning inputs across APAC.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior analysts where opportunities arise, sharing technical and analytical expertise.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis from the business as required.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

  • CA Singapore, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent professional accounting/finance qualification.
  • Significant commercial finance or FP&A experience (typically 6+ years), ideally within the software, technology, or SaaS sectors.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial modelling and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience with ERP systems and tools such as Salesforce, SAP, NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Google Connected Sheets, BigQuery, and Colab is a plus.
  • Working awareness of relevant compliance, audit, and statutory reporting requirements, with a process-driven approach to financial and operational controls.
  • Ability to use AI tools effectively to automate tasks.

Professional Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information concisely to senior and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams and functions, influence and negotiate with senior and non-financial stakeholders, and align on approaches.
  • Sound judgement and ability to make timely decisions in ambiguous or fast-moving situations with minimal guidance.
  • Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to driving efficiencies and improving reporting and analysis.

What applying to Thoughtworks usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through greenhouse can typically expect a structured process that begins with an online application and resume submission, often followed by an automated acknowledgment email. For technical and consulting-oriented roles such as those at Thoughtworks, candidates may encounter an initial recruiter screening, followed by assessments or exercises relevant to the position, and may include multiple stages involving hiring managers, technical evaluators, or panel discussions. Greenhouse-based processes commonly allow candidates to track application status through a candidate portal, though response times vary and communication practices depend on the employer's internal workflow. Applicants should generally prepare for a mix of behavioral and role-specific questions, and may be asked to complete take-home tasks or case studies depending on the role type and seniority level being considered.
