Job descriptionFull Time

Cadence ABA is looking for a Clinical QA / AI Evaluator — BCBA to help make sure our agentic ABA platform's clinical outputs meet the standard required for a real clinical record. Cadence uses voice capture and AI agents to structure session data, track mastery, interpret trends, and draft billable SOAP notes and progress reports — but every agent proposal is designed to be reviewed and signed off by a licensed clinician. In this role, you will be the clinical judgment behind that review process, evaluating how well the system's outputs hold up against real ABA practice standards.

What you'll do

  • Review AI-generated session notes, progress reports, and treatment plan drafts for clinical accuracy, appropriate CPT mapping, and defensible documentation
  • Evaluate structured trial data, mastery/phase-change proposals, and graph interpretations against ABA measurement standards and each client's actual programming
  • Identify patterns of error or drift in AI-drafted clinical content and translate them into clear, actionable feedback for the product and clinical teams
  • Develop and refine rubrics, test cases, and QA checklists used to benchmark AI performance against BCBA-level clinical judgment
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to prioritize fixes and validate improvements to agent behavior over time
  • Help define the clinical guardrails the AI should never cross, in line with sound ABA practice and payer documentation requirements

What we're looking for

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing
  • Several years of hands-on clinical experience delivering and supervising ABA services, including session note writing and treatment plan development
  • Strong working knowledge of ABA measurement systems (frequency, duration, interval recording, etc.), interobserver agreement, and mastery criteria
  • Comfort reviewing technical or AI-generated output critically and articulating precisely where and why it falls short of clinical standards
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to give structured, specific feedback
  • Familiarity with CPT coding and billing documentation requirements for ABA services

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in a QA, compliance, or clinical training role
  • Experience evaluating or piloting software/AI tools in a clinical ABA setting
  • Familiarity with SOAP note structure and payer authorization processes
