Technical Writer

Cadence ABA builds an AI-native clinical data platform for ABA practices, capturing session data by voice, structuring it in real time, and drafting billable session notes so clinicians can stay present with the child instead of the tablet. We're looking for a Technical Writer to own the clinical and product documentation that helps clinicians, administrators, and internal teams understand and trust the platform.

What you'll do

• Write and maintain user-facing documentation covering session capture, mastery tracking, graphing, SOAP note drafting, and authorization tracking features
• Translate clinical workflows (ABA data collection, measurement systems, CPT coding) into clear, accurate guides for clinicians and administrators
• Partner with product and engineering teams to document new features ahead of and alongside releases
• Maintain the reference guides and help center content, ensuring accuracy as the product evolves
• Develop and edit API documentation and other technical references in collaboration with engineering
• Establish and enforce documentation standards, style guides, and review processes for consistency and clarity across all published materials

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience as a technical writer, ideally in healthcare, clinical software, or another regulated or compliance-sensitive industry
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical or clinical workflows into clear, user-friendly documentation
• Strong writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to accuracy and detail
• Comfort working directly with product and engineering teams to gather information and validate documentation against real product behavior
• Experience with documentation tooling (e.g., style guides, content management systems, versioning)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ABA therapy, behavioral health, or clinical documentation standards
• Experience writing HIPAA-related or compliance-facing documentation
• Experience documenting APIs or working from OpenAPI specifications
