Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

DoubleTap Consulting is a senior-only software consultancy that builds custom websites, product platforms and internal software for streaming, SaaS and commerce teams, including engagements with Hulu, Auth0, Italic and Raven Health. We're hiring a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the cloud, observability and release-process work behind client engagements — infrastructure that our clients' own teams can run and own once we hand it off.

What you'll do

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure for client platforms, prioritizing reliability, security and cost efficiency
• Set up observability, monitoring and alerting so issues are caught before clients notice them
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release processes that a client's internal team can run independently
• Work directly with senior engineers and designers on an engagement to architect infrastructure that fits the product, not a generic template
• Document infrastructure and handoff materials clearly enough that client teams can take full ownership after the engagement ends
• Troubleshoot production issues across cloud environments and drive root-cause fixes

What we're looking for

• Several years of hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure) in production environments
• Strong background in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation or similar)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release workflows
• Solid understanding of observability practices — logging, metrics, tracing and alerting
• Comfort working directly with clients and engineering teams without a layer of account management in between
• Ability to work across varied tech stacks and adapt to different client architectures quickly

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, React, React Native or Node/Postgres environments
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration at scale
• Background supporting e-commerce, SaaS or streaming platforms
• Experience with payment infrastructure or PCI-relevant environments
