The Egyptian Hockey League (EHL) is the official organized ice hockey league in Egypt, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Cairo. As the league grows the game from Cairo to Alexandria, it is looking for an SEO Specialist to help more fans, players, and partners discover the EHL online.
What you'll do
- Conduct keyword research and build an SEO content strategy for league pages, news articles, and match recaps
- Optimize on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking) across the website
- Monitor organic search performance using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and report on rankings, traffic, and conversions
- Perform technical SEO audits covering site speed, crawlability, indexing, and mobile usability
- Collaborate with content and web teams to ensure new pages (schedules, stats, standings, news) are structured for search visibility
- Track competitor SEO activity and identify opportunities to grow organic reach
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in an SEO Specialist or similar digital marketing role
- Strong working knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar
- Solid understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices
- Experience optimizing content for search engines without sacrificing readability
- Comfortable analyzing data and translating it into clear, actionable recommendations
- Good written communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with sports, media, or entertainment websites
- Familiarity with schema markup and structured data
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for implementing on-page changes
