Job descriptionFull Time
Elite Hockey HQ is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help build and improve the platform that powers adaptive hockey training programs, skill video libraries, and recovery/readiness tracking for players and teams. You'll work across the stack to ship features that players and coaches use daily, from workout logging to readiness dashboards and coaching tools.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain features across the front end and back end of the platform
- Collaborate with product and design to translate athlete and coach needs into shipped functionality
- Build and integrate APIs, including connections to third-party data sources (e.g., wearable/readiness data)
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
- Help improve app performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and production issues across the stack
What we're looking for
- Professional experience building full stack web applications
- Strong proficiency with a modern front-end framework (e.g., React or similar) and a back-end language/framework
- Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs
- Comfort working with relational or NoSQL databases
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: testing, version control, CI/CD
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and take ownership of features end to end
Nice to have
- Experience integrating with third-party health/fitness data platforms or wearables
- Familiarity with mobile app development or responsive design for mobile-first products
- Interest in sports, athletic performance, or building consumer training products
- Experience with AI/ML-assisted product features
