Job description
Elite Hockey HQ is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the platform that powers adaptive training, skill video, readiness tracking, and team management for hockey players, coaches, and organizations. You'll work across the product, contributing to features used by individual athletes and by teams managing rosters, scheduling, and performance analytics.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and ship full-stack features across the training platform, from athlete-facing tools to team management dashboards
- Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable code
- Improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of existing systems as usage grows
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning
- Write and maintain automated tests to ensure product quality
- Mentor other engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including work on production web applications
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language and one modern frontend framework
- Experience designing and integrating APIs, and working with relational databases
- Track record of owning features end-to-end, from design through deployment and monitoring
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: testing, version control, CI/CD, and code review practices
- Comfortable working in a small team where you'll wear multiple hats
Nice to have
- Experience with wearable device integrations or biometric data
- Experience building consumer subscription products
- Familiarity with Chrome extension development
- Background in sports, fitness, or health tech
