Habeo is the IT asset management and CMDB platform built for higher education, replacing legacy tools like ServiceNow ITAM at colleges and universities with native GASB 34/35 depreciation, Uniform Guidance grant compliance, and continuous device discovery from Jamf, Intune, and Google Admin. We're looking for a Data Analyst to help us understand how our product is used, how our institutional customers behave, and where the business can improve — turning asset, usage, and customer data into decisions our team can act on.
In this role, you'll work closely with product, customer success, and go-to-market teams to build reporting, answer ad hoc questions, and surface insights from data generated by our platform and our sales/customer pipeline.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track product usage, customer health, and business performance
- Partner with product and engineering to define and instrument key metrics across the asset and CMDB platform
- Analyze customer data to identify trends in adoption, retention, and expansion opportunities
- Write and optimize SQL queries against production and warehouse data sources
- Translate ad hoc business questions from leadership into clear, data-backed answers
- Document data definitions and maintain data quality and consistency across reporting tools
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar analytics role
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
- Experience with a BI or visualization tool such as Looker, Tableau, Mode, or Metabase
- Comfort working with ambiguous business questions and structuring them into analyzable problems
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially explaining data findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Attention to detail and a habit of validating data before presenting conclusions
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics (retention, expansion, churn, usage-based analysis)
- Experience working at an early-stage or growth-stage startup
- Exposure to higher education, IT operations, or asset management data
