Habeo is the IT asset management (ITAM) and CMDB platform built for higher education, replacing ServiceNow ITAM with a system designed around university workflows like GASB depreciation, grant compliance, and MDM-native discovery. We're hiring a QA Engineer to help us ship a product that universities trust to close a fiscal-year audit in an afternoon — quality and reliability aren't optional in this space, and we need someone who treats testing as a core engineering discipline, not an afterthought.
What you'll do
- Design, write, and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end) across the Habeo platform
- Test integrations with third-party systems such as MDM providers, HRIS platforms, and SSO/identity providers for correctness and resilience
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, working closely with engineering to reproduce and root-cause issues
- Build and maintain CI/CD test pipelines to catch regressions before release
- Perform exploratory and manual testing on new features, especially around data integrity, audit trails, and compliance-sensitive workflows
- Collaborate with product and engineering to define acceptance criteria and testable requirements for new features
What we're looking for
- Experience in software QA, test automation, or SDET roles
- Proficiency writing automated tests using common frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, pytest, or similar)
- Familiarity with API testing tools and practices (Postman, REST, GraphQL)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated testing fits into them
- Strong attention to detail, especially when testing data-sensitive or compliance-relevant features
- Comfortable working directly with engineers to triage and reproduce bugs
Nice to have
- Experience testing systems that integrate with enterprise identity providers (SAML/SSO) or HRIS/MDM platforms
- Exposure to data integrity or audit-trail testing in regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Background in B2B SaaS or enterprise software testing
