Product Data Analyst

$130k – $180k • meaningful equity

About Novig

Novig is building America's #1 sports prediction market. Our mission is to financialize and democratize sports trading - taking a closed system run by casinos and turning it into a fair, efficient, two-sided market where the power sits with users.

With Novig recently becoming a CFTC-designated market — the fastest designation of its kind in US history— we're bringing the prediction market built for sports fans nationwide.

We're backed by some of Silicon Valley's top investors — Pantera, Forerunner, Lux, NFX, Paul Graham, and Joe Montana — who have collectively invested over $100M behind this vision.

About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp Product Analyst who loves using data to solve product and business problems. You’ll join Novig’s Analytics team and work closely with our product, design and engineering leads to shape what we build and measure whether it’s working.

This is an early hire on a small data team, so you’ll have real ownership. You’ll help set up how we track product usage and run experiments, and you’ll be part of the conversations where the roadmap gets decided. Novig is a CFTC-regulated sports prediction market, and as an exchange, it brings product questions you won’t find at a traditional sportsbook.

Who you are and what you will do

  • Partner with Product, Design and Engineering to define success metrics for new features before they launch

  • Lead experimentation end to end, from designing A/B tests to analyzing results and recommending what ships

  • Work with Engineering to build and maintain product event tracking

  • Analyze how users discover markets, place trades and come back, and find opportunities to improve each step

  • Monitor product health and key metrics, and flag issues early

  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the company to drive product decisions

  • Build reusable datasets and reports that help the team answer their own questions

  • Explore new and unmapped data areas that can push our product forward

What you’ll need:

  • 2+ years of experience as a product or data analyst, preferably at a consumer, fintech or trading company

  • Strong product sense and comfort sharing your point of view

  • Strong opinions on experimentation, and experience leading complex, cross-functional experiments from design to decision

  • Enthusiasm for using AI tools and strong fundamental SQL skills

  • Comfortable working across product, design, and engineering

  • Strong presentation skills, capable of catering to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Familiarity with BI tools (Hex, Looker, Tableau, Mode, etc.)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with dbt or Python

  • Experience in sports betting, prediction markets, or other consumer applications

Why work here, in the words of the people who do

“I work with extremely stellar people, I own real systems, and decisions happen fast. No politics, no waiting for needless red tape. If something's broken, I fix it. If I build something good, it ships.”

“The people! They're smart, thoughtful, fun to work with and passionate about their craft.”

“I'm having the most fun I've had in my entire career.”

If you want responsibility, trust, and the chance to help build the future of sports prediction markets - take your shot, we’d love to connect.

Not for everyone

  • Our work is tied to live sports - that means potential nights, weekends, and pressure included.

  • If you need clear swim lanes, a heavy process, or someone to tell you what to do, this won’t be the right environment.

Compensation & benefits

  • $130k – $180k base, benchmarked at top-tier tech companies

  • Meaningful equity for every employee, regardless of role

  • 100% health premiums covered

  • 99% dental & vision covered

  • 401(k) with 4% company match

  • HSA + $1,080 annual company contribution

  • $50/monthly company contribution to employee transit

  • $27/day lunch stipend when working from our NYC office

  • $35/day dinner stipend when working from the NYC office after 6:30pm
