Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Product Manager to join our fast-paced and innovative team. As a Mid to Senior level professional with a strong technical background, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our products. Your ability to bridge the gap between technical development and business objectives, coupled with exceptional communication skills, will be instrumental in driving our product roadmap and delivering outstanding solutions to our customers.

About your role at Ready ⚡️

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with business goals and market demands.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that outlines key milestones, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Continuously assess and adjust the roadmap to adapt to changing market conditions and customer feedback.

  • Leverage your technical background to deeply understand the complexities of our products, including architecture, development processes, and technical constraints.

  • Engage actively with engineering teams to evaluate technical feasibility and tradeoffs for proposed product features.

  • Translate technical constraints and engineering considerations into product decisions that stakeholders can understand and act on.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, marketing, and implementation teams, to ensure successful product development and delivery.

  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, effectively translating business needs into technical requirements.

  • Define clear and detailed product requirements, including user stories, use cases, and technical specifications.

  • Prioritize feature development based on customer feedback, market research, and business objectives.

  • Scope and evaluate AI-powered capabilities within our products; identify where AI can offer genuine user value and deliver product experiences that deliver that value in a dependable and transparent manner.

  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our communication patterns and collaborative systems within the product team and across the organization.

  • Leverage AI tools for writing, analysis, and prototyping to produce shared sources of truth, synthesized insights, and perform more effective discovery.

  • Champion a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring that user needs and feedback drive product decisions.

  • Conduct user research and gather insights to inform product enhancements.

  • Engage directly with key customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and identify opportunities for product improvements.

  • Build strong customer relationships to enhance our understanding of their evolving needs.

A bit about you 🥇

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager, ideally at the mid to senior level.

  • Strong technical background, with a deep understanding of software development processes and technologies. Prior background in software engineering, or hands-on experience with data modeling or technical requirements gathering is a significant plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.

  • Comfort working alongside engineering teams to understand architectural decisions and technical tradeoffs.

  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve personal productivity and the quality of your work outputs.

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is preferred.

What applying to Ready usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through ashby can generally expect a structured, straightforward online application process, typically starting with a resume and application form submission. Ready's openings, such as operations-manager, solutions-engineer, technical-product-manager, and vp-of-finance roles, may involve an initial recruiter screen followed by additional conversations with hiring managers or team members. The process may include multiple stages, potentially covering technical assessments, case studies, or role-specific exercises depending on the position. Communication is often handled through automated updates within the platform, though response times vary by employer. Candidates should be prepared to articulate relevant experience clearly, as ashby-based processes commonly emphasize structured evaluation criteria. Following up politely after submission is generally considered acceptable, though patience is advised given variability in scheduling and review timelines across different roles and teams.
