Job Title: Senior User Experience Design Specialist

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior User Experience Design Specialist at our Palo Alto, CA location to build trusted relationships between brands and their customers to unlock digital innovation, customer value, and sustainable growth.  

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Empower businesses to manage the complete customer experience by bringing together customer data management, machine learning and microservices to power real-time, intelligent customer engagements across sales, customer service, marketing and commerce. Ensure competitive differentiation and brand loyalty through customer experiences that are trusted, simple, personal, helpful, and connected to help customers achieve everyday goals. The SAP CX Solutions consists of Sales and Service Cloud, Commerce, Marketing, Customer Data Cloud. Redefine Customer Experience by developing competitive cloud solutions that will accelerate our customers´ success. Work on UX concepts for business applications. Ensure the relevance of designs and works closely with the application units within SAP CX. Expose concepts and designs to customers and end users for feedback. Define and communicate new application designs and interaction concepts or build upon and extend existing concepts. Abstracting and generalizing requirements is necessary to ensure relevance and scale of work. Continuously broadening horizon on design methodologies, technologies and upcoming trends.  

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must include four (4) years involving each of the following:  

  • User Research and Usability Testing utilizing User Interviews, Surveys, Prototype Testing, Remote/Moderated Usability Testing, and Accessibility Testing; 

  • Wireframing, Storyboarding and Prototyping utilizing Figma, Sketch, InVision, Flinto, and Principle; 

  • Interaction Design utilizing User flows, Navigation Patterns, and Micro-interactions; 

  • Enterprise Data Visualization for Analytics including Custom Dashboards and, Data Visualization in Service Cloud with S/4HANA data integration; 

  • Advanced Visual Communication utilizing Graphic Design, Motion Design, 3D Visualization & Modeling, Animation, and Video Editing; 

  • Cross-platform Mobile Responsive UX utilizing Hybrid, Native, Responsive Enterprise Apps; 

  • Design System Development and Governance; and 

  • Information Architecture for Enterprise Applications including Navigation, Process Flows, and Content Organization. 

Experience must include three (3) years involving each of the following: 

  • UI/UX Design for Immersive Technologies including AR, VR, MR, and 3D Visualization.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $243,506 - $244,464. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $243,506 - $277,800. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
