We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

The position can be filled at the SAP locations in Walldorf and St. Leon-Rot.

What you'll do:

Join a global team shaping the future of financial deal-making at SAP. As a working student in Strategic Finance, you’ll support the analysis and handling of SAP’s most exciting commercial deals and models—from structuring and approvals to booking and financial impact.

You’ll work side-by-side with experts across finance, sales, and strategy to help design smart, scalable solutions for non-standard deal setups like sovereign cloud and new business models. Your work will help SAP make better, faster decisions that ultimately help our customers succeed.

This role offers a unique chance to understand how global deals are structured, to build commercial skills, and to gain insight into real-world business strategy. You’ll be part of a team that drives innovation in financial processes—and helps improve the way the world runs.

What you bring:

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working with data and financial logic
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
  • Availability to work approx. 15–20 hours per week
  • Soft skills & emotional intelligence:
    • Team player with a structured way of thinking
    • Curious mindset and willingness to dive into complex topics
    • Enjoy connecting the dots between strategy and numbers
    • Proactive and communicative

Where you belong:

The Strategic Finance (SF) team provides end-to-end support for strategic deals and complex business cases and models, with a strong focus on key financial KPIs, profitability, and compliance.

As a cross-functional global team, we connect expertise from various areas across Finance and beyond to build commercial excellence and drive knowledge sharing between regions. Our goal is to ensure a consistent, harmonized approach to commercial decision-making—from business case to booking.

We work closely with Sales, Finance, Global Commercial Finance, and key Board and Regional Offices, contributing to SAP’s Empower the Regions initiative and enabling smarter, faster deal execution around the world.
